International Spiritist Council (ISC)
New York, May 14, 2025
The International Spiritist Council (ISC) and the countries it represents express, with deep emotion and heartfelt longing, the disincarnation of Divaldo Pereira Franco, which occurred on May 13, 2025, at the age of 98.
In this moment of elevation and reflection, we pay our sincere tribute to the one who stood out as the great disseminator of Spiritism in the 20th and 21st centuries worldwide, bringing the consoling and enlightening message of Allan Kardec to all continents and contributing decisively to its universalization.
With nearly eight decades of uninterrupted service to the Spiritist cause, Divaldo spread light, hope, and knowledge through speech, writing, and action. His more than 13,000 lectures delivered internationally and over 250 psychographed books made him one of the most remarkable ambassadors of Spiritist-Christian thought on a global scale.
His life was an example of coherence, charity, and dedication. The Mansão do Caminho, founded in Salvador (Brazil), became a symbol of Spiritism in action, welcoming and educating thousands of children and young people in situations of social vulnerability.
At this moment of farewell from the physical plane, though never from the spiritual one, we unite in prayer and gratitude, recognizing in Divaldo a true servant of Christ, whose presence among us leaves profound marks of light, wisdom, and love for others.
His departure brings longing, but also the certainty that his legacy remains alive and active in the hearts and minds of all those who, in so many countries, found in his example an inspiration to serve the good with selflessness and fidelity.
To our dear Divaldo, our eternal gratitude.
To all, our heartfelt embrace.
To the international Spiritist Movement, our renewed commitment to continue the work he so worthily led.
With longing, reverence, and hope,
International Spiritist Council (ISC)
