Sons and daughters,
How can we speak of new tasks when we have not yet fulfilled the new commandment: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
Centuries advance, yet reflections on Spiritism still remain within cold pages and, often, in empty speeches. In this moment when the Earth calls for hands at work, we must, together, put into practice the commandments of the Lord.
Here we see gathered souls of many shades—seeking souls, serving souls, tireless and devoted souls committed to good. But it will always be necessary to purify our intentions, so that this love—greater than that of merely loving one’s neighbor as oneself—may reach all humanity.
As time passes, have we truly shown what Jesus asked of us when the Good News reached our hearts and minds? If we believe it is enough to always think, always speak, and theorize concepts endlessly—rolling through time only circling one single purpose, that of understanding instead of acting in the Lord’s vineyard—then we have failed. And what will become of us?
All these questions, my children, are presented so that we may truly transform what is but a theme into the living work of the Gospel.
Living Jesus is more urgent than ever; placing Jesus as our model and guide is an immediate banner for us Spiritists.
May the spirit-Spirits gathered here carry in their hearts and minds from this spectacle of light and blessings the lessons of practical living.
Let us not waste time, for time itself is what will matter in our journey of growth and spiritual progress. It is time that will allow us, together, to find the happiness promised to the good-hearted man. Details, quarrels, and small disputes—often of a personal nature—delay on Earth that which will bring full regeneration to the world.
We cannot think that all will be done as nature simply unfolds; we are the craftsmen of the Almighty. As we walk through successive lives, the Father awaits our collaboration so that the World of Regeneration may be fulfilled.
Luminous days are before us—days of opportunity for growth, days of putting knowledge into practice, days of strong arms, good cheer, and courage—that will characterize the children of God on Earth. The Kingdom of the Lord is about to be established, but it will be in the heart of man, not in the material exterior, where it shall remain until we reach the blessed and happy worlds.
Transition means the moment to make things happen, so that the past may slowly fade and the future may draw nearer to the present.
Wait, my sons and daughters—but do not wait in passivity or inertia. Wait while working, for that is how Jesus wishes it for us.
May the Lord of blessings bless you; from His love may infinite lights of understanding and love descend upon you.
Much peace, from your humble and paternal servant,
Bezerra
