The ISC – International Spiritist Council makes available Allan Kardec’s Basic Works in several languages
The Basic Works of Spiritism or the Spiritist Codification are the 5 books published by Allan Kardec between 1857 and 1868.
The first book of this collection, and the most comprehensive, is “The Spirits’ Book”, comprised of 1019 questions addressed to the Spirits, and their respective answers, analyzed and organized by Allan Kardec.
The remaining four books complement and expand the material contained in “The Spirits’ Book”: “The Mediums’ Book” constitutes a guide for mediums and evocators, covering subjects related with the interchange with the Spiritual World; “The Gospel According to Spiritism” deals with the explanation of the moral teachings of Christ according to Spiritism, and their utilization in different life circumstances; “Heaven and Hell” address divine justice according to Spiritism and “Genesis” covers the genesis of the Universe, of Earth and of the human being, as well as the nature of the miracles and the phenomena of Predictions, according to Spiritism.
